Active static eliminators create an ion field that is then presented to a substrate. The most common method used to achieve this is by an electrical discharge. Active Anti-Static Products actively produce an ion field by employing the use of an electrical discharge utilizing three different approaches. All three Active Anti-Static designs are “shockless”. Our Model 200 Series Bars are AC devices, using a capacitive connection. Our Model 400 Series are also AC devices, but are resistively connected to the points on the bar. The Model XR2 Series is a pulsed DC device for longer operating ranges and faster line speeds.
Unlike active devices, Passive Anti-Static Products induce an electrical discharge by providing a sufficient path to ground. Our passive line of anti-static devices include ANTI-STATIC TINSEL, ANTI-STATIC TINSEL BARS, ANTI-STATIC CORD, and ANTI-STATIC BRUSHES.
